Overloading
A piece asked to defend two things at once. Attack both: whichever it handles, the other falls. Queens are frequent victims.
Remember
- • One piece with two or more defensive duties: overloaded.
- • Attack both duties at once. The piece can only defend one.
- • Queens overload most often: they're usually spread too thin.
- • Test: 'If the defender moves, what else falls?'
