Check what the last move left unprotected.
After your opponent moves, check your king’s safety and look for checks, captures and threats. Then ask whether that move left a piece unprotected. Before capturing, check the replies so you do not lose more than you gain.
Win the bishop with your pawn
Your pawn takes the bishop. That gains material even if the opponent takes back. It also opens your rook’s attack on the rook.
