Knight + rook + pawn: the king caught on a hook
A rook delivers check defended by a knight, with a pawn (or piece) blocking one of the king's flight squares, together forming a hook the king cannot wriggle off. Closely related to the Arabian: same rook + knight idea, but the king sits one square off the corner because a pawn is plugging the escape.
Rook checks, defended by a knight a knight's-move away.

White to move. Black has just blasted into h3 with the knight. Time to return the favour, the king on h8 is stuck in the corner.
