Use two bishops to cover the king’s escapes.
Boden’s mate uses two bishops on crossing diagonals. One gives check while the other covers escape squares; the king’s own pieces restrict its remaining moves. Look for a capture or sacrifice that opens the checking diagonal.
Draw the pawn away
If the pawn takes your queen, it stops defending your bishop’s mating square. Your bishop can then give checkmate.
