Use or attack a d-pawn without neighboring pawns.
An isolated d-pawn has no friendly pawn on either neighboring file. It can provide space and active piece squares, but it may become a target when pieces are exchanged. Choose trades by what remains, rather than assuming every exchange helps the defender.
Prepare to support the e-pawn advance
Your rook moves behind the bishop and e-pawn. Advancing the pawn gives you more central space. Once the bishop moves, the rook can support the pawn or use the file if exchanges open it.
