Zwischenzug in Recaptures: a theory course

A recapture need not come first. Compare it with checks, captures and stronger threats.

4 lessons, each followed by its own puzzle drill, then 10 themed puzzle packs.

• Check First, Take Back Later — Give check before taking back.
• The In-Between Capture — Capture a more valuable target before recapturing.
• Attack Before Retaking — Make a useful threat before taking back.
• Choose the Order — Compare recaptures and choose the better order.
