Creating the second weakness
The second weakness comes from a pawn break on the opposite flank. Defenders glued to weakness one can't be in two places: one of the two falls.
Remember
- • First weakness ties the defender's pieces down.
- • Second weakness comes from a pawn break on the opposite flank.
- • Kingside breaks (h-pawn or f-pawn) create kingside targets; queenside breaks do the same on the other wing.
- • The overloaded defense cracks: one of the two weaknesses falls.
